There are many benefits to home health care. Most obviously, it allows seniors to stay at home instead of having to relocate to a facility.
Home health care also reduces loneliness among seniors, which can improve their mental and physical health. During the coronavirus pandemic, home health care aides were often the only people patients saw. They become part of the family because they’re spending hours-[sometimes] multiple days of the week with the person. Sometimes the patient and home health aide even vacation together.
Home health care can also help reduce hospital readmissions. For instance, in one systematic review of patients with heart failure, those who received nurse visits at home experienced fewer hospital readmissions and less mortality for up to six months after they were discharged from the hospital compared to patients who didn’t receive nurse visits.
Aging Allies Home Care provides a complimentary home visit with a Care Manager to assess and recommend any services that would improve the Senior's quality of life.Call us to day to schedule! We are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 561-632-8318

World Cancer Day is observed each ear on August 1st to spread awareness about lung cancer. The day urges us to unite in the fight against this relentless disease. World Lung Cancer Day aims to reduce the stigma associated with the disease and encourage more people to seek medical help if they experience symptoms like persistent cough, shortness of breath, or chest pain.
Back in the 19th Century, lung cancer was not widespread, and it affected less than 2% of the global population. It was later in the 1940s and 1950s, that the medical world would become more assertive in the belief that smoking has a close association with lung cancer.
Switch to healthy habits, support lung cancer advocacy research, and spread Lung Cancer awareness.
We assist seniors with tasks such as getting ready in the morning and settling in for the night.
We help seniors maintain a household and an independent life with tasks like cooking, cleaning, laundry, sewing, and similar jobs.
Our professional caregivers can simply be there to give your loved one quality company and friendship.
We can handle medication schedules so your loved ones take them when they should with the correct dosage.
Although we attempt to avoid guardianship, sometimes it is necessary. A guardian is a person who is legally responsible for managing the affairs of an incapacitated person.
At Aging Allies, we want to ease the process and your concerns while enriching the lives of you or your loved ones through in-home care for seniors in South Florida. We also offer in-home senior care in the Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie County areas. Call us today to schedule a free at-home assessment.
